One You Wednesdays with Abbeycroft Leisure

This September, we are teaming up with ukactive and Public Health England to bring you ‘One You Wednesday’ to Abbeycroft Leisure. One You is an adult health programme to encourage and support adults to make simple changes towards a longer, healthier and happier life.

Without knowing it, by the time we reach our 40s and 50s many of us will have dramatically increased our chances of becoming ill later in life. Whether we are eating the wrong things, drinking more alcohol than we should, continuing to smoke, or just not being active enough, all of these things add up.

Because of this, from Wednesday 30th August through to Wednesday 27th September (National Fitness Day), a number of our Leisure Centres will be opening their doors every Wednesday, offering you the chance to take part in classes for FREE. A list of the activities that we will be running at each centre can be found below.

This sounds great – how do I sign up and get my FREE session?

  1. Visit http://ukactiveoneyou.com/. You will then be able to enter your Postcode and see what’s going on in your local area, either as a list or in a map view.

  2. Once you have selected an activity you want to do, you will be asked to answer some personal details. Once you’ve entered these details, the option to download your voucher will appear. Once you have downloaded the voucher, you will also be automatically sent a confirmation email.

  3. The vouchers will detail all the information you need to know on them, including: your chosen site’s name, address and contact information, dates and times when the voucher is valid and the activity you have chosen.

  4. You will then be required to show your voucher at reception upon arrival where you will then be granted access to the activity you signed up for.

PLEASE NOTE: The voucher will be a PDF format, which will be accepted as a print out or if displayed on their mobile device.
