Customer Notice: A message to all Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre members

We’re delighted to announce that after listening to your feedback, we will be refurbishing our Main Gym at the beginning of July to improve the overall quality of our equipment. The refurbishment will include a bigger free weights area with new dumbbells, racks, benches and an additional squat rack. There will also be a larger functional area with additional matting, Conexus rig, punch bag, new functional equipment and even more new equipment.

However, this will mean temporary closure to our Main Gym whilst the refurbishment is taking place, which may affect you. Here’s a day-to-day summary of what will be happening:

Monday 9th July 2018 – The Main Gym will open at the usual time of 6am. However, the gym will then close from 9am – 4pm for part of the refurbishment process to take place. The gym will then re-open again from 4pm – 10pm, but only the cardio and resistance machines will be available for use.

The Studio Gym will be open on this day from 4pm – 10pm, where the free weights will be available for use.

Tuesday 10th July – The Main Gym will be open at the usual opening hours of 6am – 10pm, but only the cardio and resistance machines will be available for use, whilst the refurbishment of the free weights area is taking place.

The Studio Gym will be open on this day from 6am – 9am and 4pm – 10pm, where the free weights will again be available for use.

Wednesday 11th July – Friday 13th July – To complete our refurbishment process as quickly as possible, the Main Gym, Studio Gym and Health Suite will all be CLOSED throughout the whole period from Wednesday 11th July to Friday 13th July. However, it’s worth noting that you’ll be more than welcome to do your workouts at either Skyliner Sports Centre or Thurston Sports Education Centre during this time.

Saturday 14th July – Welcome back, guys! At this point the gym refurbishment will be complete and it will be time for you to work out again in our refurbished gym. We will be open on Saturday at the usual time of 8am – 6pm.

If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call on 01284 753496 or speak to a member of our team.
